I'm not usually one for Rum, but when a free bottle's on offer you can't say no.
Trying to find inspiration on how best to drink it (neat you say, gosh no) I stumbled upon the distillers website, and it's more than a lil flash. The video's on there demonstrate perfectly how to make a selection of cocktails (that went down a treat).

Free Rodney Marsh

Former Footie Legend Rodney Marsh has been sacked by Sky for a joke he made live on a nighttime phone in show.
In his comments, Marsh jokingly said David Beckham had turned down a transfer to Newcastle Utd after hearing of trouble with the "Toon Army in Asia."

Rodney Marsh is one of the most intelligent, funniest and honest pundits on Sky Sports, and to be sacked over making a joke about the (lack of) intelligence of David Beckham is plain ridiculous.
I, for one, will be cancelling my Sky Sports subscription straight away... (erm, maybe I'll wait 'till after the footie season is over)

Jedi Dex

Finally got around to watching the "Star Wars Holiday Special" at the weekend, well, I managed the first 15mins because it really is as awful as everyone says. Maybe if I understood wookie it'd make more sense....maybe not.

Staying with the Star Wars theme, DazzyG bought to work a Jedi Dex this morning which he'd stolen from a young child. It's a hand-held encyclopedia of characters, droids, alien species, vehicles, and weapons. It also features bio information and graphic images of characters and items. Not only that, it also includes organizer functions such as an address book, alarm clock, scheduler, calculator, personal lists, trivia game and even has password protection. So throw away your PDA and get one of these, it makes cool Star Wars sounds too.

After trying to find the hex value of a colour for a web page I was writing I stumbled upon a great resource for just this sort of thing. FreeColorPicker does what it says on the tin.

Mi casa, Picasa...

I've been using Picasa to organise my photos for a while now, Google's software seemed to me to be the best out there and it's free. Well, it just got a whole lot better (according to a review by PC Magazine) with the release of version 2 - get it here.
