Bourn Again
I've still not recovered from my extensive injuries inflicted whilst tackling the hazards of cannock chase, but I've had more than enough to cheer me up over the last couple of days. Maybe on Monday I'll go see the on-site doctor to check out whether I have anything seriously wrong. That would be the on-site doctor at the largest confectioners in the world, where I start work on Monday :) I've been hired to help support their rollout of Outlook, working on the service-desk in a first line role.
I spent Friday meeting up with the people I'm going to be working with and checking out the site, the office I'll be in has windows... huzzah! The site itself puts where I've worked before to shame, on-site gym, swimming pool, well-stocked canteen, subsidised pub, and the legendary staff shop. And the people I'll be working with seem a great bunch too, what better way to get to know them than a team night out, enough beer was drank to act as a painkiller to my shoulder!

Good Lad!
Where was the pub? I still haven't found it yet!
As Bourneville is owned by Quakers, there are no "proper" pubs, however there is an exception - The Cadbury Club, a bar open to employees only. A short walk into Stirchley (0.2mile) will satiate your need for a more traditional drinking venue. The British Oak being the nearest and serving a rolling choice of 2 to 3 real ales and an interesting bar menu.
The British Oak: Excellent!
Another happy bunny. Things are looking up after all!
I'm dead pleased for you petal, good luck tomorrow.
