It's an incredibly well mixed 40 minute soundscape. A 'blink and you'll miss it' collision of envogue tunes and forgotten classics. It does go a bit weird in the middle with some ambient meanderings but the rest is sheer joy to the eardrums, some of which is quite simply a metamorphosis of musical genius.

OSYMYSO

I've been listening to Osymyso for quite a while now, mainly laughing hysterically in my car, having copied their Radio 1 series to MP3 CD. Their 1hr slot (entitled "The Milk Run" as it was broadcast weekly at 3am in the morning) mixed together some quality tunes interspliced with comedic jems. I dl'd their first 17 mixes from the torrents, courtesy of coptang, if anyone has the following 7 I'd be extremely grateful. (I believe they were contracted for 24)

Anyhoo.. they have a new album currently in development...

"The new album from osymyso will be uploaded in 50 fragments, one a week for the first 50 weeks of 05, it will then be re-arranged and mixed into one chunk for release on the first day of 2006."

Where, When, How Doctor ?

The first episode of the new series of Doctor Who has been leaked to the internet.

Of course, the best way to watch would be to wait until the series officially airs in a couple of weeks. I for one wouldn't download the torrent, but if I had I'm sure I would have thought it was actually quite good. Is it a special effects extravanganza? No, in fact it's very true to the original series albeit with a slightly larger budget for props and scenery. The Tardis is as it was, along with woosh noises, the "doctor" played by Christopher Eccleston plays the role well and he still has his trusty sonic screwdriver. The opening episode has the doctor and his able assistant Billie Piper being chased by shop mannequins, classic Who... can't wait for the next 12 episodes.
