One side effect of the London bombings is the increased level of commuters on bikes. It's a shame it takes something like this to get people out there and on a bike, but the more of us there are the better.
AMG - Everyone starts off a newbie, I only started riding myself a couple of months ago.
Chris - I was tempted to get a hairdryer-on-wheels but they're just wrong on so many levels. The people that ride them tend to just where the mandatory helmet, your head might be OK when you crash (and you will crash at some point), but your trainers, jeans and t-shirt aren't going to do alot when you're skidding along the ground at 30mph.

Yea!
Just get out & ride.....
I just joined the biking community! I'm still a newbie, but I'm getting there!
When I was in 'the smoke' last week I noticed MCN was correct, there's been an increase in the number of motorcyclists too.
It doesn't hurt that 2 wheels are exempt from congestion charging, and we've had some great weather too.
The downside apparently is a masive increase of people riding twist-n-go scooters with appalling road-skills.
BFC - Yea!
